    Abstract

New data, data science and AI create great opportunities, but with them come risks and side effects. The ethical principles familiar in the statistical world need to be reviewed, both in terms of their content and how they can be made globally relevant in the new communities. Last but not least, this calls for scientific conceptions that address questions of data responsibility, data literacy and the trustworthiness and quantifiability of AI.
