This session will show data and statistics about discrimination in different contexts and social consequences from such phenomenon. The panel will discuss about the relevance of having high quality data on discrimination and the value of data for public policy making.
Panelists will review experiences about production and value of high-quality data on discrimination from global and national perspectives, particularly from the Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT), the National Institute of Statistics and Geography of Mexico (INEGI), the UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR), and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
