About the tour

We are delighted to have organised a unique walking tour to explore Ottawa city and learn more about its cultural heritage & fascinating history. This walk is exclusively for partners and family of WSC 2023 delegates.

This 2.5-hour group walk will give you an opportunity to explore a new culture together with your old acquaintances or make new friends! You can chat with locals while making meaningful connections with people from all around the world.

The tour starts with a short presentation at Shaw Centre at 9:00 and continues with a walk past some of Ottawa’s main highlights among which the Canadian Suffragette Memorial, the National War Memorial, Elgin Street, Parliament Hill, The Fairmont Chateau, Courtyards at ByWard Market and ends at the Market Square.

This tour will be offered in 2 languages: English & French. It is organised by Ada van Krimpen (former ISI Director) & Eric Rancourt (Assistant Chief Statistician, StatCan).
