Abstract
ECLAC regularly measures income inequality in Latin American countries, using data from its household survey data bank. In recent years, it has sought to promote the use of a combination of household surveys, administrative records, and national accounts in order to have a more complete measurement of inequality. This presentation presents recent trends in inequality in the region, based on survey data, and progress in collaboration with countries for a more comprehensive measurement of inequality.
