Abstract

Indonesia’s export declined in 2020 due to COVID-19 but recovered significantly in 2021. Despite the higher level of export performance compared to the pre-pandemic era, the impact of the pandemic to export value across all industrial sectors is mixed. During the pandemic, lockdowns, supply shocks, mobility restrictions, and global value chain disruptions have affected the industries, as well as the industrial export structure. By using Input-Output Analyses, this study tries to assess the impact of the pandemic on Indonesia’s export structure, whether the pandemic increases import content or domestic content.
