Abstract

Data Governance refers to the process of managing the availability, usability, ntegrity and security of data, based on
internal data standards and policies that also control the data usage. The internal principles, methodologies and policies followed by the National Bank of Angola to compile the macroeconomic statistics are all aligned with the international best practicesEffective. Data Governance has enabled the National Bank of Angola to improve data quality, better analysis, avoid inconsistent data silos, increase analytics accuracy and gives decison-makers reliable information. The BNA is responsible for guaranteeing and ensuring a system of information, compilation and treatment of monetary, financial and exchange rate statistics, and other within the domain of its activity (balance of payments, external debts, etc).

According to the National Bank of Angola's Law nº 24/21 of 18th October, the is
esponsible for guaranteeing and ensuring a system of information, compilation and treatment of monetary, financial and
exchange rate statistics, and other within the domain of its activity (balance of payments, external debts, etc). The National Bank of Angola compiles its statistics in accordance with the internationally accepted standards, as well
as the manuals of procedure and the statistics code of conduct. Statistics are revised based on the statistics revision policy.
