Abstract

How do we improve our products and services, the quality of our data and anticipate user needs? How do we increase modernization and support innovative ideas and at the same time become more efficient? How do we keep up with the fast changes in the environment and remain relevant?
At the Hungarian Central Statistical Office we have learnt that improving the management system, developing tools and procedures that support management decision-making, play an important role in the flexible adaptation of the organization to the changing needs. Having a detailed knowledge of the architecture – e.g. processes, products, responsibilities, IT-applications etc. – strongly supports modernization, standardization and enables the organization to manage products and services more efficiently.
The presentation will focus on the experience we had with modeling different aspects of the architecture using ModernStats models. The GSBPM, the GSIM and the GAMSO serve as guidance and also ensure the common language for international cooperation.
